What Happens Next…
Regulars to this blog will know that our Primary Storymaking workshops have been a massive success story since they began in November 2021. We visit a Key Stage 2 class or year group, we help them to write a story collaboratively up to a cliffhanger moment, and we set them off to write their own endings in a writing journal.
While we build the story together, an illustrator - either in the room or via Zoom - sprinkles extra magic on the children’s words to bring the story to life with pictures.
At a later date - usually within a couple of days - we return with a stack of published picture books complete with author photos and bios. The storybooks have lined pages after the cliffhanger for the children to write up their endings inside.
So what happens next? DO they write up their endings inside? Do they feel inspired to get creative outside of the workshop and school? We thought it was time for a little case study - in pictures.
