Every child who comes through our doors does so for free! We never charge children to join in our after school clubs, holiday projects or writing workshops. We want to ensure activities for children will always be free, but we cannot run these fantastic workshops on goodwill and magic alone. £4,000 will cover the costs for training staff and volunteers over the course of a year. £8,000 will cover the costs of learning delivery and resources over the course of a year. £15,000 is needed to provide safe transport for the children from schools and surrounding rural areas to our centre at the Bank.See the ways in which you can donate on the link.
VOLUNTEER
All our programmes are run by teams of volunteer writing mentors – people just like YOU. We’re always looking for new volunteer writing mentors to help out at our daily weekday workshops with primary and secondary school classes, our evening and weekend programmes and our summer camps. No previous experience is necessary! Anyone who enjoys working in a creative environment with the individuals and groups that come to our centre - and is a good listener - is welcome to volunteer. You don't need to be a writer or a teacher to be a Bank of Dreams and Nightmares volunteer writing mentor.
