Hazmat Reckoning for Rusty
Marshwood Primary school’s Lamberts class had last dibs on TBODAN storymaking workshops for this academic year, and they had a tough act to follow after Pilsdon Class’s buzzing effort.
Rusty the Dog had to face up to his parents’ death, two people in hazmat suits, and a rather alarming nemesis... all captured brilliantly by the latest illustrator to kindly give up their time and talent to bring the story to life: Tom Snape. Tom joined us via Zoom to illustrate, and having introduced him as Mr Snape - why wouldn't we?! - the children were on their best behaviour in case he was actually the Snape we all know and love/hate. It certainly didn't cramp their creative writing style, that’s for sure.
To find out more, you’ll have to read the story here. And we haven’t even mentioned the abandoned banana mine and magic crystals…doh!
