Brace for descent…

We had a fantastic launch event to herald publication day of Spiralling: A Slow Descent into Madness, the anthology of eerie fiction penned by Year 9 students from Sir John Colfox School.

Kindly hosted by Bridport’s own indie, The Bookshop, the young authors gathered with friends and family to celebrate their success. The sense of pride was tangible, and we at BODAN are absolutely delighted for their achievement.

The collection is the result of six weeks of in-school sessions developing the sinister side of the teens’ writing, and contains short story, kenning poems, and prose exploring the essence of eerie.

The cover was illustrated by the fabulous Staffan Gnosspelius and captures the turmoil contained within perfectly. Thanks also to Spike Golding from 3 Hours West for book design, Eddy Pearce for the photography and Nathan Filer, award winning author and mental health expert, for an electrifying foreword.

We dare you to read it!
