In a Pickle!

Our first dual-school storymaking workshop took place with pupils from Years 3-6 at Membury and Mrs Ethelston’s primary schools. The session took place at Membury’s beautiful Village Hall, with state-of-the-art projector equipment that included an enooooooooormous screen.

Young writers from aged 7-11 worked wonderfully to collaborate on a story about Beaver the dog, whose greatest wish was to become a pickle. Barry Fungus the wizard - or was it a banana, or was it Mr Peel? - had other ideas…

Just as creative and fabulous were the illustrations by Jasmine Baker, bringing Beaver and Barry leaping off the page!

And it was all witnessed - via the Red Telephone at least - by our Bank Manager, who is reluctant to believe in children’s story-writing prowess, but ends up eating humble pie EVERY time.
