Turning Science Fact into Science Fiction

We are very excited to be working with a talented group of writers from Wadham School in Crewkerne on a fantastic science writing project. These Year 9 students are using stories to explain the facts behind the Primary Physics curriculum. Writing for a KS2 audience, our science writers have each chosen an aspect of Primary Science to explain through fiction, and the stories they have come up with are mind-blowing!

We have paired up with the Institute of Physics and the Science Communication Dept. at UWE to explore how science engagement can be captured through creative writing. Once the stories are published, our young authors are going to be running accompanying science demos in the Primary schools
