Stand Back, Bear Grylls! Powerstock Pupils Produce the Ultimate Survival Guide.
We had a great time working with Cogden Class at Powerstock Primary School last week! The amazingly talented writers from Year 3 and 4 used their imaginations and their logical, problem solving abilities to help our Bank Manager escape from our locked underground Vault. They were so good at solving that problem, that we employed them to help us write a survival guide for all sorts of other problems as well!
The class were a joy to work with and their survival guide should be required reading for anyone hoping to navigate the most dangerous situations of the 21st Century. They revealed how to survive getting up on a school morning, avoid stepping on Lego in bare feet, escape eating vegetables, survive the zombie apocalypse and even how to win a lightsaber duel!
Our thanks goes to the class teacher, Mrs Batten, and to Mrs Cleden for organising the morning, as well as to our amazing volunteer survivalists, Jackie, Bella, Raja and Liz who gave up their time to help the children do such brilliant writing. Huge thanks also to our incredi illustrator, Laurie Stansfield who brought these ‘How to…’s to life.
These are the survival tips for situations Bear Grylls never even thought of!
