budmouth writers take readers into the Deep, Dark Woods.

We were so impressed by the amazing Year 7s at Budmouth Academy who worked with us on Friday to write a tale of terrifying dragons, mutant horrors and poisoned sandwiches. Their story, A Bacon Baguette in the Deep Dark Woods, follows Peter the Griffin and his best friend Daisy as they encounter unpleasant creatures and scary goings on in the forest near their farm.

We were also delighted to be working with an extraordinary team of 6th Form students who gave their time to help the young authors to write their stories. They did a great job working collaboratively and really brought out the talents of the writers. The story was beautifully illustrated by the absurdly talented Jasmine Baker and a huge thank you goes out to her. It was an absolute joy to be back at Budmouth Academy and we can’t wait to return.
