Beaminster writers Book Launch

We were extremely proud to be able to launch our latest anthology of short stories on Tuesday. Written by an absurdly talented group of writers from Beaminster School, 30 Shades of Green imagines a future where nature is changed or where our human nature has undergone alteration. These are new folktales; field notes from the future that warn of, predict or celebrate our relationship with the natural world. Stunningly illustrated by the amazing Staffan Gnosspelius, these heart and mind-altering tales are available now from Little Toller Books in Beaminster, or from our website here. You won’t want to miss these!

Huge thanks to Stephen Moss, Lu Orza and Martin Maudsley for their brilliance in running the sessions, to Dr Sam Rose, Dana Assinder and the teams at West Dorset Wilding and Mapperton House for hosting our young authors and giving us valuable nature writing time, and of course, to our wonderful team of volunteers, Raja, Vicks, Lu, Ambs, Harriet, and Jon for their help in getting the best out of these young authors.
