Young composers writing Opera at St Mary’s

A Year 4 group from St Mary’s Primary School in Bridport are writing something a little different this term. With the help of The Bank of Dreams and Nightmares and our amazing group of volunteers, this talented class are writing an entire opera from scratch. Songs, Speech, Story - Arias, Recitatives, Libretto - the lot!

This week we looked at fitting our characters and setting into one story. Is the Voodoo Doll evil, or simply misunderstood? What happened to turn our world into a desert? Can Billie, the singing Alien heal the world? And who, or what, is ‘The Death Knight’?
