The Stray and THe Monster

What happens when a young stray dog from the streets is befriended by a giant cat? Will the owner throw them out when he’s bored of looking at them? And what are those eleven glowing red eyes under the bed? The young writers from Adventurers Class at Charmouth School kept us enthralled with this tale that managed to be both spooky and heart-rending at the same time.

Wonderfully illustrated throughout by the amazing Jasmine Baker, the story was written by the whole class, with the children each finishing off the story individually to create a whole raft of amazing, different endings. A huge thank you to the class teacher and our incredible volunteer writing mentors, Raja, Jackie, Jon, Clive and Nick, who helped the children write these brilliant stories.
