Sherek and the Evil Bananas

We had a brilliant morning working with Hazel class at St Catherine’s Primary School in Bridport. This talented group of Year 4s and 5s took us on an extraordinary journey and created a sci-fi classic, that was as fantastic as it was unexpected. In their epic tale, we met Sherek, a bald alien who was terrified of water. All would be well in Sherek’s world, if it weren’t for the schemes of Mr and Mrs Bibi, the evil bananas! Will our hero escape the Dangerous Daisies? Will Mrs Bibi ever free herself from the clutches of her villainous husband? Is anyone in this story really who they seem to be? Find out by reading “Sherek and the Evil Bananas”, written by Hazel Class.

Huge thanks to the amazing Izzy Kerslake for her wonderful illustrations and to our volunteer writing mentors, Ambs, Jon, Jackie and Valerie for their support and their enthusiasm. We can’t wait to go back!
