Pen Pals meet up across the generations (and across cake)

Some fantastic intergenerational connections were being made as our Pen Pals project culminated in a meet and greet between the young writers and their correspondents from our local community of residential homes. The participants enjoyed tea and cake as they swapped stories, shared frustrations and bonded over a love of tractors and why Chelsea aren’t doing better this season. As our participants have corresponded over the weeks, we have found way more areas of common interest than things that divide us. Just some lovely human beings coming together across the generations!
