Hold the Front Page…

Newsgathering with a difference at our new free after school club, The Vault, which runs on Thursdays during term time. Our young writers will devise and write their own quarterly newspaper, which will be professionally printed and widely distributed.

We kicked off with a series of fun exercises to start to develop journalistic skills - observation and interviewing were on the agenda this session. Obviously the Bank Manager had to get in on the act via the Red Telephone hotline, and listened to the insightful profiles our members had written about each other.

One parent contacted us after the session to offer feedback from her son: “That was epic. Dev loved it. Dev doesn’t love anything :)”

High praise indeed!
