Electing the new protector of Narnia?
We took a trip through the wardrobe last week, working on some amazing speeches with Years 3 and 4 at the Prince of Wales School, Dorchester. The whole school has been working on C.S. Lewis’ classic ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’ and the class were shocked to discover that Aslan had disappeared from Narnia! Having first learned about the loss of their protector from a very panicked Mr Tumnus, calling from Narnia, the children became the campaign managers for their chosen animal and created powerful and convincing speeches, outlining why their creature would be the best to lead Narnia until Aslan returned.
The children all worked very hard and the speeches they wrote were amazing - there are clearly some future politicians lurking in these KS2 classes!
Well done to all the children and, as always, a huge thanks to the amazing, enthusiastic staff at the Prince of Wales School who helped the sessions run so smoothly and help to make the pupil’s learning so exciting.
