Beaminster authors inspired by nature

The legends are beginning to emerge! Talented young authors from Beaminster School have begun writing stories based on the landscape around them. Today we looked at how to immerse a reader in the author’s world. We tried to capture what it really felt like to be in the locations of our tales. Following our trip to the Mapperton Wildlands and a hugely inspiring workshop from genius storyteller, Martin Maudsley, the writers are starting to find the tales that have been hiding in the willows or perched in the trees, just waiting to be netted and committed to paper.
